meet the team
Our Story: Cedar Tree Chiropractic was established by husband and wife team Benjamin and Ellen Roberts. Being a chiropractor and a doctor, they have dedicated their professional lives to healthcare and are passionate about improving their patients' quality of life.
PRINCIPAL CHIROPRACTOR AND CO-DIRECTOR
Benjamin Roberts, D.C., L.R.C.C.
Principal Chiropractor Ben Roberts graduated from the prestigious Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, receiving his master's degree in Chiropractic with honours.
During his ten years of experience, Ben has treated a wide range of patients from every walk of life.
Whether treating a professional athlete's injury, or correcting the posture of an office worker, Ben enjoys supporting his patients along their journey of recovery.
"As an enthusiastic teenage footballer, I became very interested in health and wellbeing. Meeting a chiropractor following a neck injury was a revelation for me. As he resolved my pain, educated me on my posture, and taught me how to avoid further injury, I realized that a career in chiropractic care was where my future lay.
I truly believe that the majority of injuries I treat are preventable when given the correct postural and lifestyle advice. I feel privileged to spend my days treating patients and seeing them return to health."
Outside of work, Ben enjoys running and spending time with his wife Ellen, and children Hugo and Primrose.
Dr. Ellen Roberts, MBChB
Ellen graduated from her Medical Degree at Keele University Medical School in 2015. She now works across the West Midlands in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as her role at Cedar Tree.
Ellen is involved with the educational group teaching run at Cedar Tree, as well as keeping things ticking along behind the scenes.
"Before meeting Ben I had very limited knowledge of chiropractic but quickly became fascinated by this unique type of care. I had suffered from debilitating headaches and migraines since my early teens. After only a handful of treatments, I was amazed that the frequency and severity of my headaches reduced dramatically. Even as a doctor, I am always keen to avoid drugs and medical intervention whenever possible, and for me, chiropractic care is the answer."
Outside of work, Ellen enjoys arts and crafts with her children, Hugo and Primrose, and horse-riding.
Ameema Allana, D.C.
Ameema graduated from the Anglo-European Chiropractic College with honors. Alongside treating adults for spinal pain she has a particular interest in treating pregnant and pediatric patients.
Ameema joined the Cedar Tree team in June 2018.
Ameema's interest in treating pregnant women and children has lead to her treating women with pelvic pain in pregnancy, supporting breast feeding mothers, helping babies with colic and working to alleviate neck tightness in babies who prefer to lie facing one direction. Ameema also practices sacro-occipital therapy.
"I was drawn to the rewarding and facilitating role chiropractors play in restoring confidence and functionality within people's lives after seeing how a chiropractor helped my mum overcome a debilitating back condition."
Outside of work, Ameema is accomplished in martial arts!
Simeon Janickyj, D.C.
Simeon graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with distinction. Simeon enjoys the variety he sees when treating his patients, from lower back pain and neck pain, to sciatica and migraines.
Simeon joined us in 2020 after the first lock down and instantly became a very important part of the team.
Outside of work, Simeon is fluent in Portuguese, plays the saxophone, and is an avid football fan. He is married to the lovely Beth, and they have a young son, Harrison.
